Travel Shots & Info

Cobb County has a great travel clinic for all of your shots and health questions. Their office is open Tuesday, Wednesday & Thursday by appointment only. Please call 770-514-2485 or email jsstymest@dhr.state.ga.us to schedule an appointment. They are great at returning phone calls and answering all your travel health questions.

You will be sent an email with a few forms to fill out before your appointment. These forms are necessary in order to get your shots needed for your travel to Haiti. The two forms are called Travel History & Itinerary. Each appointment you will sign a consent form before you are seen. If you have a immunization form please bring that to your first appointment as well.

Each patient is scheduled for a 30 min. consultation and you can ask any questions & decide on what services you would like. It is recommended you take malaria medicine for your trip to Haiti so an additional 30 min. will be scheduled to give the nurse time to go over the variety of medications offered. If you are more than 15 min. late you will be asked to reschedule.

FEES & PAYMENT: A $35 office fee is charged each client per trip. When you return for booster shots for the same trip you will be charged for the vaccine only. If malaria medicine is needed, each client is charged a $30 malaria consultation fee. Most insurance companies do not cover travel health services. The clinic accepts cash, Visa, MasterCard & Discover only.
